Promoting some pals
If you currently happen to be in Melbourne, then consider checking out an album launch on Sat 25th Feb, 2006 at 9pm AEDST (+11 hours GMT) - please check out Clan Analogue website for further details. I’ve had the privilege of a sneak listen and it’s a fecking corker, they’ve got my bucks pegged for a copy!
Hopefully, will be able to put details of a friend’s site soon; she’s an illustrator and gets blank greeting cards with her work printed up from time to time.
If you’re down Melbourne-way, go to Polyester Books or Minotaur and pick up a copy of a locally produced comic called Skinny Skeletons. Not sure if it’s still on the shelves as it’s been selling well, if you want a copy, get in touch via the contact form and something can be worked out.
My pal’s really cool DJ sets and plenty more funstuff, some of which is photographic, and in German. Apparently he isn’t half bad as a DJ and you can listen not just to his set, but ‘contentismissing’. Rejoice!
A friend of mine has just self-published a book! The book is called Room Service by Houssam Elsheikh, and it has attracted media attention. Experiences of a waiter who works at a 5-star hotel and his various brushes with people, some of fame. Hoping to put up more details when I can.
