Other random things I love
PAF’s Blue Dog, current issue. It has an excellent poem called ‘Bonking’ by Graham Rowlands.
Equilibrium, film with Christian Bale (scrumptious Welsh-born actor…who strangely enough, can act. Bit of a rarity in Hollywood). Dystopian Nazi/1984-type near-future setting, as well as a cynical ‘reading’ of where mood disorder medication is taking the human race. I like to think of it as an ‘intelligent action film’. The fight/action sequences are amazing, though require severe suspension of belief. I even found the poem that Sean Bean’s character was quoting, which you can read here.
Cake Beauty’s ‘Sweet cheeks’ sugar scrub. You rub it onto your bare skin in the bath/shower and not only does it make you nice and smooth, it smells delicious (while I do not recommend it doing as I’ve done, I can tell you it is indeed edible).
The Norton Anthology of Poetry. It doubles as a dumbbell, good for working those arms.
Joss Whedon’s follow-up series to Buffy and Angel, called Firefly. Once a week on cable TV is NOT enough! It’s finished and I miss it! I will buy the series on DVD!
I can never have enough too many Undergirl/Girl Wonder matching PJ or cami sets! I’m even planning to do a zine exposing them in their glory. If you live in North America and you happen to know my address…send me some! I’m a S in both tops and bottoms *wink*.
