…disappointing, ill-timed and without warning -
autumn came.
It was fine when I entered the Arts Centre at Melbourne Uni, but when it came time to leave, it had begun to rain, the wind whipped dry, colour sapped leaves in swirls.
Upon arriving home, those were not the only leaves disturbed; sheets of poetry that I’d printed merely hours before were crumpled in my short absence! Those damned parents! I know my work means nothing to them but that doesn’t mean they should throw my printed work around as if it were junk mail. Needless to say, I was well pissed off.
But autumn has properly arrived, and soon snuggling in blankets and hot mugs of tea, and long soaks in the tub will be commonplace. Also, marathon sessions of Diablo II (the game for PC).
Autumn is so lonely, and yet so beautiful. It is my favourite season in this city, the city of Melbourne.
