I hope NoMD (nerd of my dreams) finds this funny, but today, I had a most disconcerting thought.
I think I’ve become a bit of a techno-geek.
Why, you wonder?
Well…I installed a feed reader. No, it’s not culinarily related, and no I’m not embracing my Asian roots and abandoning my pseudo-anorexic past. Syndication feeds. Online. You save a bookmark, and each time you click on that bookmark, it sort of updates and checks to see if the site has updated and shows you everything in these little caption boxes, so you get to choose what you want to read.
So, by default, there are two - one to BBC World, and the blog of the developer of the feed reader, Sage. Articles, or new blog entries will show up in boxes as mentioned above and if you want to read the entire article/post, you open it.
This is going to feature in a Snarkattack blog post proper, but it did also cross my mind that my anti-depressant, Efexor XR, might be the ‘leet’ version of the word ‘effective’. Efex0r. 3f3×0r. Come on, tell me you can’t see it.
So Efexor XR must be leet-speak for ’super effective’. Heh heh. Oh dear nerd of my dreams, what do you think? Hope reading this made you laugh. I’m taking ‘effective’ medication. Hmm, it sounds cool, if not…depressing.
