Today I got a message from an online friend of mine who hails from the old country (England) that he’s planning his trip to Australia for the end of the year, and he’s going to come and pay me a visit! I’m so excited, I don’t usually go around meeting random people from the internet but we’ve known one another for quite some time and he’s been kind enough to read some of my writing. I have actually met up with someone from the internet before, a good friend who lives in Sydney. I guess this is more of a big deal because my other friend doesn’t live in Australia though it was still supercool to meet up with this lovely lady I’d been conversing with for a few years now.
And Twitchey, if you’re reading this, I’ll be sure to read Marilyn French’s The Women’s Room before you come. I’m going to buy a copy this week if I can find it. I’ve been remiss and promising to read it for quite some time now.
So yeah, now I have something to look forward to at the end of the year. Maybe one day I can visit him in England if I ever go back. And L (and Dee!) if you’re reading, I’m definitely paying you a visit in Sydney. I just wish I had an excuse to go so I could do it sooner!
