It’s not overly impressive, just what I came up with in writers’ workshop on the topic of confidence. The reason it’s not overly impressive is that it’s not fiction but my thoughts, which aren’t overly exciting, haha. When it was my turn to read my bit out, the old birds really enjoyed it…they really dig this sort of thing.

Stories my feet could tell - week 2 homework

Pretty straightforward, as the title suggests. I wrote from the point of view of my feet in about half an hour before class this morning. Again, the usual slight editing applies. Oh and it’s absolutely autobiographical, hahaha!

Queen of hearts - week 1

This was a fantastic exercise! I had so much fun with this - we were given a photocopied handout detailing the meaning of each card in a four-suite deck - just an ordinary pack of playing cards.

I got the queen of hearts - woman of fair complexion, faithful, prudent, affectionate.

This is what I wrote in response to that - we were given about 30 minutes. It’s fanciful but hey, it was on the fly so do excuse me! Again, edited ever so slightly.

Chain - week 2

This is some microfiction done in about 20 minutes in a local writers’ workshop I attend every Friday. This is only the second workshop class we’ve had and seeing as I had so much fun writing it, I thought meh, why not put it up on my blog for (at least, thankfully because they are so faithful!) friends and stuff to read.

This one is called ‘Chain’. We had a bunch of topics we could choose to write about and that was what I chose. There are supposed to be all sorts of different ‘chains’ in play in the story. Perhaps you can tell me if I was successful in getting that across or not? I edited it ever so slightly.
