Harry Mathews project

Harry Mathews entries, 28/8 - 2/9/08

Some of the entries are too personal, so I decided not to publish them. I also haven’t managed to write one 20-line entry for each day since I started (28/8/2008) because of sickness.

home sick but writing

I lasted an hour at work today, before sinuses got so painful I couldn’t concentrate on what people were saying, so I had to go home.

On my way home, I decided that I’d try the Harry Mathews experimental writing project I did a few years ago again. I’ve just written my first entry. I’m also going to delay publishing them, and post them in weekly slabs so that people who are actually subscribed via e-mail to my blog don’t get assaulted.

My main concerns are I’m going to be honest. About myself, and about others. This isn’t always a good thing. It won’t be vindictive (never). I sort of have an idea to write about some of the people in my life that mean something to me.

If I can find the archive to my first one, I’ll post it up and you can peruse at your leisure. Quick, run and hide now!
